The Senior Data Delivery Product Manager will own the strategic vision and execution of Candid's data delivery products and platform, encompassing both programmatic access (APIs, webhooks, MCP servers, developer tools) and direct data distribution (datasets via marketplaces, custom delivery, and licensing arrangements). This role requires making nonprofit sector data accessible to developers, third-party platforms, and AI applications at scale and in real-time. You'll identify market opportunities, understand data consumer needs, and translate requirements into platform capabilities while collaborating with Growth and Operations teams to optimize the end-to-end data delivery experience and business outcomes.

Schedule: 35-hour work week, Monday through Friday
Compensation: $120,000 - $155,000 (this range is for the NYC area and will be adjusted for other localities; additionally, factors like skills and experience will be considered).
Location: Remote. In-person attendance is expected twice per year during our annual, weeklong all-staff summits. Additional in-person meeting participation is expected at least once per quarter for senior leaders and at least once per month for the executive team. Staff not located in the NYC area are expected to travel for these meetings.

Responsibilities
- Own productization and roadmap for all data access channels, including: external APIs, webhooks, MCP servers, developer portals, marketplace listings, and custom data delivery services
- Expand Candid's addressable market by identifying and enabling new opportunities in the AI/ML landscape, including foundation model partnerships, AI agent marketplaces, Model-as-a-Service offerings, and emerging data access protocols
- Build and maintain strong customer discovery practices through regular interviews and feedback loops to uncover needs, validate product hypotheses, and identify market opportunities
- Monitor competitive landscape and emerging trends in data delivery and AI/ML integration to inform product strategy and positioning
- Translate market insights and customer needs into prioritized requirements, user stories, and technical specifications
- Define, track, and orient decisions around key metrics including customer acquisition, adoption, usage, satisfaction, and revenue
- Own product lifecycle from ideation to launch and continuous optimization
- Partner with Growth and Operations on pricing, packaging, go-to-market strategy, customer support, and operational excellence
- Collaborate with Engineering and Data teams to identify solutions and deliver capabilities
- Coordinate with other Product Managers to align discovery, roadmaps and feature releases
- Evangelize data delivery products through demos, documentation, presentations, and cross-functional alignment
Requirements
- 5-7 years product management experience with developer-facing products, APIs, or data platforms
- Experience building platform products that support multiple development teams
- Background in nonprofit/philanthropy sector and/or experience with working with nonprofit data preferred
- Track record of successful 0-to-1 product launches and post-launch iteration
- Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, webhooks, and authentication patterns
- Experience with AI/ML developer ecosystems and emerging protocols (e.g., MCP, agent frameworks)
- Understanding of developer tools, documentation standards, and self-service portal experiences
- Experience with API analytics, monitoring, and performance optimization
- Proficiency with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Strong developer empathy and understanding of technical user needs
- Ability to gather requirements from diverse, often competing stakeholder groups
- Data-driven approach to feature prioritization and product decisions
- Excellent communication skills across technical and business audiences
- Strategic thinking with high initiative and cross-functional coordination abilities
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field preferred; equivalent experience considered
- Willingness to perform other duties and special projects as needed/requested.
