Description
Are you passionate about LGBTQ+ rights and looking to make a real impact? Join InReach, a trans-led tech nonprofit building the world’s first open source platform connecting LGBTQ+ people facing persecution or discrimination with safe, verified resources. We’re searching for Program Interns who want to help improve our Young Professionals Board (YPB) program and enhance the experience for its members!
Internship Schedule and Compensation
- Spring 2025 Internship Dates: Tuesday, January 21st - Friday, April 25, 2025
- Required Hours Per Week: 10 hours (*interns can select their own hours–Monday through Friday–based on their schedule/time zone; all interns will use InReach's volunteer management system to log their hours for accountability)
- Note: This internship is remote and unpaid. InReach staff is happy to submit forms on behalf of interns who would like to earn academic credit from their universities for this internship. Please specify what forms are required by your university in your application.
Responsibilities
- Report to our Community Outreach & Programs Director.
- Help manage and improve the Young Professionals Board (YPB) program by creating new materials/programming to enhance the experience of YPB members and recruit new YPB program advisors.
- Meet with YPB members and advisors to gather feedback and insights for performance evaluation, ensuring the program continues to grow and meet the needs of its participants.
- Create compelling marketing materials and social media content to promote the YPB program.
Qualifications
- Obtained or pursuing a bachelor’s degree or master’s degree.
- Reliable access to a computer and internet.
- Ability to dedicate 10 hours per week (Monday-Friday) to the internship.
- Passion for advancing LGBTQ+ rights and a willingness to learn!
- Experience in program management and/or marketing is a plus.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment using G Suite, POINT, Discord, and Zoom.
