If you are reading this, it is because someone at AmpleHarvest.org believes that you are the type of person who can help AmpleHarvest.org end the waste of food and hunger in America, while also helping the environment.
The AmpleHarvest.org Board is comprised of passionate people who care about our mission, believe in our solution and have the capacity to help support it. They are men and women from across the country who bring their experience and background to directing the organization.
As a member of the non-profit Board of Trustees, you are responsible for:

The financial wellbeing of the organization

Personally providing financial support at a minimum level of $2,400 per year (ideally byway of an automatic $200 per month online donation). Board members are encouraged to donate more if they have the capacity to do so.

Personally soliciting an additional $2,400 at a minimum from other people or organizations (or they can make the additional donation themselves).

Contributing at least 40 hours of your time over the year. This includes board meeting participation. Board members are expected to communicate to the board president, how they plan to invest their time.

Being an advocate for the organization

Communicating its mission

Monitoring and advising on strategic performance as needed

Serving on at least one standing committee, and as projects arise and where applicable, Ad Hoc committees.

Attending at least 4 board meetings that are conducted online/via phone as well as one in-person board meeting annually.

Approving the annual budget
A board members role is to help strengthen the organization by contributing time, talent, financial support and leadership skills throughout the year. It is an awesome and exciting responsibility.
