The Part-Time Youth Tech Instructor provides instruction and mentorship to students enrolled in our school programs, as well as helping in other areas as needed. Instructors are expected to have experience with children and teens, as well as an affinity for all things tech. In addition to conducting workshops and instruction, instructors will also be responsible for ensuring the quality of instructional content.
This position is a Part-Time, On-Site Position and would require the incumbent to run classes from various elementary, middle and high schools in the Omaha area.

Essential Job Functions
- Teach/maintain a standardized curriculum for the assigned course which may include one of all of the following:
- Basic block coding
- Tinkercad/3D Modelling and Printing
- iMovie
- Stop Motion
- Basic robotics
- Drones
- Field questions from students as needed during the duration of the course
- Collect feedback via surveys
- Create or collaborate to create course resources for assigned classes.
- Engage the community about the benefits of Tech Careers
- Background in working with students, preferably those in underserved categories
- Demonstrable interest in Tech/STEM
- Professional education and experience in fields related to working with children is desirable
- Professional education and experience in technology fields is desirable
- Ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with participants (children and teens) and others of diverse backgrounds
- Ability to and interest in learning more about tech skills and tech careers
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work effectively and efficiently with public schools and other community partners
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly
- Ability to adapt and problem solve in real-time
- Proficiency in Google applications such as Google docs, Gmail, etc.
- Ability to work independently and accurately, and make decisions in accordance with established policies and procedures
